Things To Think About

 When I first started to study journalism, I thought that It would be very easy for me to find a path and find out what I like while I was on the university. Nevertheless, the pandemic make me ask myself so many questions about who I am, what I would like to do, and where am I going. Write about my dream job as something specific is impossible to me. Anyway I would describe some features that I think I like.  My dream job is one where I can have the space to do what I want. If I want to talk about politics, movies or music, I should at least once have the chance to do it. If I am developing a work where there is no ocassion to give an opinion or to generate debate, I would like to have the time to do it in my free time, as much as my music an watch series and movies. Sometimes we forgot how imortant is to have a time for ourselves, to create and take care of our creativity. Cinderella is the classic story of a princess that marries the prince of her town, we all know what is it about. Its origins come from the oral narration, and was rewritten by many authors over time.  Disney audiovisual version was released in 1950, based on the story written by the french author Charles Perrault. In the following decades, many movies were made about this princess. Drew Barrymore, Hilary Duff, Lucy Hale and Selena Gomez have been some of the actresses who have played this famous character. The last movie released about this story was "Cinderella" (2021) by the directress Kay Cannon. Its distributed by Amazon Prime Video and starring Camila Cabello and Nicholas Galitzine. This is a musical version of the Cinderella Story, with many songs scenes and amazing voices like Billy Porter or Idina Menzel (who gave the voice to Elsa in Frozen).  Since I was a little girl, I developed interest in music. Even though they were divorced, I got a few talents from my parents. My father is a primary school teacher, and he teaches music. Also he produce shows for a tropical band. My mom is a primary school teacher too. For many time she was part of a chorus and had a lot of shows. When I was on her belly she always went to rehearsal and I've always thaught that I got a little bit of my talent because of that.  When I was ten years old I started to go to piano and singing classes. At the beggining it was difficult, but very soon I was fully impregnated with the passion for music. As the time goes by, I discovered that I liked much more singing than playing instruments. Nevertheless I learned piano and guitar.  I had some very beautiful moments in my life thanks to singing and music. I won a few prizes in a talent contest of Universidad de Valparaíso and I even starred a version of the musical "Cats" where I played Grizza...

 On my way to study journalism, my mind jumped from major to major, trying to find out what I wanted for my life.  I decided to study journalism for many reasons. At the top of my head, I thought that if I studied journalism, I would have the chance to travel around the world investigating cases.  My personality is another reason why I decided to study this major. When I was a child, I started my own talk show. It took place in the bathroom and technically was a monologue and some interaction with made up characters, I meditated about life and in the end I sang a song in english (with a horrible pronunciation by the way). The worst of all, was that I recorded absolutely everything, so now every time my family wants to laugh a little, those tapes come out to the light.  Besides the fact that those videos have become a stand up show, they also proved that I actually had some communicative skills. Of course I didn't watch my talk show when I had to decide my career, but...

 When I start to think which country would I visit, is hard to me to decide. One of the main reasons why I decided to study journalism was that I always felt the need to travel around the world. Life has given me the opportunity to go to a few countries including Spain, Portugal, Peru and Argentina, but I definitely want more.  This year, I asked for a very specific birthday present. I wanted an earth globe, and my boyfriend gave it to me. I was so happy when I saw it. I know that all of this words may not be answering the question, but I don't know how to explain that I really would like to travel to every corner of this planet.  Sometimes I get sad, because turism has always been a source of work to the people in towns, but lately it has become a way of pollution because people have no respect for the place they visit.
