Changes to my study programme

Thinking about what I would change in this matter is hard because maybe my perception is a little bit misrepresented. I got into the university in 2019, which means that very soon I could not keep going to the campus, given that the social revolution started in october of that year, and there were no conditions to go to college. And just when we were prepared to start our academic year, the pandemic started, and here we are. 

So maybe I can think about many changes that I would make to my study programme as a journalism student, but in any case that would probably be a little bit slanted.

With this in mind, I think that our career should teach interpersonal communication much earlier in the curriculum, because many subjects have the characteristic of dealing with people and holding long interviews where you have to extract useful information. But you can't do that as if your interviewee is a web page like Google or Wikipedia, where you just have to ask. I consider that having an interview is a beautiful art, where two or more people cross information from one mind to another. To achieve that, you have to have the tools to be kind, empathic and suspicious at the same time.

Also I would include much more practice in the journalistic investigation area. In my experience, I did a lot of hard work on Reportage subject, but I know that there were some sections of other teachers that didn't have much practice. In the same matter, I think that teachers should have more agreements on what they will teach.
